As Chief Content Officer, David Gordon leads CAST’s branding, communications, marketing and publishing efforts.

He is the founder and managing director of CAST Professional Publishing.

David came to CAST from the Harvard Education Publishing Group, where as Assistant Director he edited the award-winning Harvard Education Letter and helped to found the Harvard Education Press.

He has worked as an associate editor at Newsweek and a writing instructor at Emerson College. He is the author or editor of five books about education.

As a journalist, he won a prestigious National Press Club Award for his analysis of teacher certification programs, and the Arthur F. Burns prize from the International Center for Journalists for reporting from Germany.
